What are the benefits of traveling by private aircraft?
Tired of waiting for your flight to depart and the hassle of flying commercially? Thanks to private air transport, you can avoid such problems, allowing you to arrive at the airport just moments before your departure. A private airline gives you more options to tailor your departure to your needs. You can choose and change destination airports. You can get close to remote areas of the country, even the world, depending on the type of aircraft. Even during the flight, you can possibly change the destination of your trip. All of these benefits significantly save you time and reduce your stress. With frequent private aircraft travel, the benefits of flying privately are quite substantial.
How to start flying privately?
Can an individual also become a shareholder?. The answer is an unequivocal "yes". The most important thing is how often and where you want to fly.
How does it work?
What form of partnership will be optimal for you? What is and what is not real? In order to share the costs of private flying as efficiently as possible, we have chosen the proven ATR aircraft for 10 to 50 passengers. Currently the latest variant "600XT", modern series with new, proven and modernized engines Pratt & Whitney "PW127XT".
And why will ATR be economically viable in the Czech Republic in 2026? The price of a new ATR72-600 is approximately 26-28 million USD. Modernizing an older aircraft (which can be purchased for 4-6 million USD) to the XT standard will cost a total of approximately 10-13 million USD, which is less than half the price of a new aircraft with comparable operating costs.
The residual value of the XT model significantly extends the life of the airframe and increases the liquidity of the aircraft on the secondary market. Operation from regional airports is 40-45% more economical than regional jets (e.g. Embraer or older CRJ), which is key in times of high carbon taxes in the EU.
If you are planning a specific investment, the modernized ATR 72-600XT (modified by Aeon Airlines) is perceived as the ideal "European cruiser". Thanks to the new PW127XT engines and weight optimization as part of the VIP conversion, the aircraft offers a range of approximately 1,600 to 1,900 km with a full tank and standard load (15-20 people).
Comparison of flight times from Prague (PRG) to key destinations:
Regional and business destinations (within 1 hour)
These routes are the most efficient for the ATR XT, the aircraft operates with minimal costs.
Berlin (BER): ~280 km | Time: 0:45h
Munich (MUC): ~310 km | Time: 0:50h
Vienna (VIE): ~250 km | Time: 0:40h
Warsaw (WAW): ~510 km | Time: 1:10h
Key European metropolises (medium range)
Here the comfort of the modernized cabin is evident. The time loss compared to a jet aircraft (Cessna Citation) on these routes is negligible, 20–30 minutes.
Brussels (BRU): ~710 km | Time: 1:35h
Paris (CDG): ~880 km | Time: 1:55h
London (STN/LTN): ~1,030 km | Time: 2:20h
Milan (MXP): ~650 km | Time: 1:30h
Limit and holiday destinations (Long range)
These routes are at the limit of comfortable range without the need for refueling stops. Madrid (MAD): ~1,770 km | Time: 3:45h (limit with reserve)Athéna (ATH): ~1,550 km | Time: 3:20h
Oslo (OSL): ~1,100 km | Time: 2:25h Istanbul (IST): ~1,500 km | Time: 3:15hTechnical range comparison (March 2026):
ATR72-600XT (VIP) versus Cessna Citation Latitude
Max. range (full load) ~1,650 km ~5,000 km
Cruise speed 510 km/h x 820 km/h
Usability in Europe Covers 90% of business routes x Covers 100% of routes + transatlantic
Key advantage from Prague in 2026:
While the jet (Citation) must often use the main Václav Havel Airport from Prague, the ATR can, thanks to its parameters, also operate from shorter runways, such as Vodochody (VOD) or Mnichovo Hradiště, which saves clients in the Czech Republic time during ground transfers.
Specifications and analyses for your next steps in planning the ATR72-600XT type:
Range of action from Prague, the ATR72-600XT effectively covers all of Central and Western Europe, the jet is also designed for transcontinental flights.
Noise limits in Prague at Václav Havel Airport (PRG) strict noise rules apply for night flights. The ATR72-600XT meets ICAO standards (14), the most stringent current category.
Thanks to turboprop technology, which is significantly quieter than jet engines during take-off and landing (LTO), the ATR has priority access to night slots. Noise charges for this aircraft in Prague are lower than for the Cessna Citation, making the ATR an ideal choice for late returns from European capitals. Furthermore, the same route would cost more than double in fuel for a jet. However, to definitively confirm the economic model, it is necessary to specify the exact number of people and the type of on-board service (catering), which makes up the rest of the variable costs.
Baggage limits (VIP configuration)
For the modernized ATR72-600XT in VIP configuration (e.g. for 20 - 30 passengers), the baggage limit is paradoxically much more generous than for business jets.
Volume space: The fuselage of the aircraft was originally designed for 72 passengers. When reducing the capacity to 20 - 30 people, there is a huge reserve in the cargo area.
Typically, you can count up to three times the amount of luggage per person (including sports equipment, golf bags, skis, etc.) without exceeding the aircraft's maximum take-off weight (MTOW). While you have to carefully weigh and limit your luggage in a Citation, you can load bulky company equipment or product samples in an ATR.

VIP VERSION
ATR HighLine offers five main cabin configurations for the ATR range of regional turboprop aircraft, designed to meet the diverse operational needs of commercial and corporate operators. The aircraft's interior options have been developed by ATR's in-house team and luxury cabin design experts. ATR says its key selling point is the cabin volumes of its aircraft, with space comparable to the largest business jets and larger than alternatives in the business turboprop market, including aisle standing room and a completely flat floor. The ATR HighLine collection offers a range of seating options for two- and three-class cabin configurations.
The HighLine collection is made possible by the dimensions of the ATR cabin interior. Not only is the jet fleet aging, but the 50-seat ATR interior is an economical and luxurious replacement with very low carbon emissions and operating costs. The proposed three-class cabin for 50 passengers for the ATR72-600. This multi-class option is also available for the ATR42-600 and the suspended ATR 42-600S project. We would be happy to explain in person.
The multi-class cabin features a spacious layout that includes a dedicated regional first class cabin. Double passenger boarding doors reduce check-in times, while a bridge connection enhances passenger comfort. Once onboard, passengers can enjoy meals from a dedicated forward galley that takes First Class catering to a whole new level, regional first class seats that provide optimal three-abreast seating, a larger aisle, spacious overhead luggage compartments, power outlets and internet access. Plus something extra...
